After three years, the Helping Hands for Butterflies Project is finishing at the end of September. The Project has engaged with over 500 people, bringing the joy of butterflies and moths to more people during the time of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Anyone who has taken part in the online and in-person workshops is welcome to attend this final Zoom session. During the pandemic, Zoom helped us all stay in touch, so it's only fitting that we have a final hurrah over Zoom! Project Officer Anthony will deliver a presentation about the Project, and attendees will be given a chance to say how they interacted with the project and what they hope to do in future.

Time: 10am - noon, Monday 26th September

Our keynote speaker is still to be confirmed, but we'll have talks on the creation and maintenance of wildflower meadows specifically for insects. We'll also get an update on special surveys for Small-pearl Bordered Fritillary, Large Heath and Northern Brown Argus, and research on the Currant Shoot Borer Moth, Lampronia capitella. Another highlight will be the display of moths caught in light traps across Scotland.
The finalised programme will appear here soon.

Booking: booking is essential, and you can book your space through the Zoom website here. This event is free to attend, but any donations would be very welcome.

Once you have booked your space you will receive a confirmation email through Zoom. Bookings for this event will close on Friday 7th October at noon.
